The Grace Library provides youngest to oldest with Christian resources that enhance and encourage their spiritual lives.
Check Out/In: Manage the library during open hours by assisting library patrons, shelving library materials, and maintaining and organizing book areas and the front desk.
A/V Processing: Collect information on DVDs and CDs, enter them into database, and prepare materials by adding covers, barcodes, and labels for checkout.
Book Processing: Enter book information into database, preparing books for checkout, and maintain the new book display.
Overdue Notices: Recovers library items that are not returned by contacting patrons with overdue items and maintaining a "missing list" for the purpose of book replacement or discard.
A/V Librarian: Prayerfully identifies, selects and purchases audiovisuals materials and supplies, catalogs and classifies materials, and processes materials with the help of A/V processing volunteers. Maintains the A/V and educational resources area.
Children's Librarian: Prayerfully identifies, selects, and purchases children's books, processes new books, maintains children's area, and promotes children's section with signs, displays, and posters.
Publicity/Decor & Displays: Creates a warm and inviting atmosphere in the library; increases visibility of the library to church attenders, and develops displays which are inviting and informative.
Scheduler: Schedules library staff to ensure adequate coverage of library during open hours.
Director: Keeps the library ministry operating smoothly and efficiently and acts as liaison with church staff, IT personnel, and Concept database representatives, and represent the GCC Library with the Pacific NW Association of Church Libraries.
