WEEK 4: Living Water
Read: John Chapter 4
How does God transform a city? It starts in one heart that is thirsty for living water. The Samaritan woman at the well had many husbands over the course of her life and no satisfaction. No person can fill the deepest void in our souls. Jesus initiated a conversation and explained that He is the Messiah. Hope resounded as she received His invitation and became a new creation. The good news was too powerful to keep to herself. She began to tell her community to come to Jesus. Ironically, the disciples were reluctant because Jesus was breaking cultural norms. Jesus taught the disciples that there is a harvest right now. Anyone can be a laborer for God. Past sins do not define us, and the story is not over. This woman’s testimony inspired her community, and they would never be the same. The healing and restoration of Jesus is available to every man, woman, and child.
Hope Point: Only Jesus can satisfy your soul.

Prayer:
Almighty God, we join with the angels and glorify You. You are worthy to be praised for eternity. We repent of our sins and return to You with all of our hearts. There is nothing created that can meet our deepest needs. We are made to know You and walk with You, Jesus. Thank You for the many ways You rescue and restore us. We gratefully pray in Your unrivaled name, amen.
