Daniel Part 2 Precept Study – Gaining Understanding of the Time of the End - Women’s Bible Study

Wednesdays | 9:30AM | Begins January 12 | Room 103

Does the turmoil in our times, the uprisings and the spiritual decay of many have anything to do with the Book of Daniel? Daniel was a man who knew what God said about the end times. He focused on what God said, not the events of his own time. He had an impact on the people that God placed in his life.

How do you live as a Daniel in the crucial days in which you find yourself? How can you dare to be different? How do you get to know God Most High? The Book of Daniel has the answers. Begins January 12, 2022. Material fee $22. Facilitated by Karen McNeese.

or Thursdays | 7:00PM | Begins January 13 | Room 101

Begins Sunday, January 9, 2022 and Thursday, January 13, 2022.

The Sovereignty of God

Sundays | 9:00AM | Begins January 16 | Room 103

We often hear that God is sovereign, but what does that really mean? Does the sovereignty of God nullify man’s free will and moral responsibility? If God determines all that happens, is He responsible for evil and human suffering? If He controls everything, why pray or share the gospel?

In this class, we’ll consider the church’s teaching on God’s sovereignty and the related doctrines of election, predestination, providence, and God’s love. We’ll consider case studies from the Bible and the conclusions of three great debates on the topic in the history of the Christian church. We’ll examine the concept of God’s sovereignty as it relates to salvation, prayer, evangelism, evil, suffering, and God’s will. And—dare I say it?—we’ll consider why man has difficulty understanding, and often hates, the idea that God is sovereign. Our goal is to embrace the comfort, security, and sense of awe that a proper understanding of this great doctrine provides.
